Just make a block list of accounting terms found in your text books at the end of your resume, lable it keywords, for example: Sread sheets, Balance Sheets, Break Even. Accounting, etc, make it long so what ever work they do a search for you got it covered, It can be a whole page full of terms.

im majoring in accounting and i was wondering if military experience is any better on a resume than any other entry level type jobs in the field

I think that it would be more impressive. Also, take into consideration that it may be very impressive for future accounting positions with government contractors (such as Lockheed Martin) or the federal government itself. Big $$$ there with some great incentives.

That's not a bad idea. But do you just want them to know you'll be available soon (giving them your expected date of availability) or do you want to work immediately? That may be possible only during your hols, and they may just give you a "vacation trainee" post or whatever you call it over there. Don't pooh-pooh this, cos once you have worked in a firm before and have learnt their methodology, it's more likely that they'll employ you when you finish your exam. All the best to you!
