QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question #1: How do I find unclaimed US Treasury Bonds on the internet?

Best Answer

Go to your states treasury website. Somewhere on there you will find a link to "unclaimed property". Make sure it's your states site, not a phony unclaimed money site.

Question #2: Effect of China dumping US treasury bonds on the USD?

I understand China has a large reserve of US dollars and treasuries. I've heard that they might "dump" them or sell them off and that it would lower bond prices around the world. How does that happen. Also why do they have a reserve of so many dollar bills?

Best Answer

Well, after years of huge trade deficits with China, what would you expect? Our budget deficit is out of control as well. Our economy is headed south as China is booming. Our leaders just won't come out and say it. Corporate America made big bucks importing everything while elliminating YOU from the workforce. Like everywhere else in the world, the US banking system is now meddling with China's currency. And, while the US cries foul, every country, including the US, is busy making mega deals with the "Communists." In reality, you can't believe anything that we are being told by our government or media anymore. The truely important information is always kept from you or covered up. And there is so much more pressing problems we need addressed! So why is this so suddenly important?! Rest assured there is an agenda and it's not in your best interest.

Question #3: US Treasury Bonds?

I understand that the US owes china alot of money because the chinese held billions of dollars worth of US Treasury bonds..is that true? and if it is, can the US choose not to let China buy them? because wouldnt it be dangerous for US to be in debt to China, of all countries.

Best Answer

the federal government may sell them to whom they choose, as per whether or not it is a good or bad thing; the government selling treasury bonds at all is bad, it is simply taxing future generations to pay for the present powers inherently coercive projects.

Question #4: Where and how can I buy some US treasury bonds?

Im interested in buying some, but where? In banks? ANd how? I dont care if its second market but if so how much of the value of the bond is retained if its bought secondary market? Preferable, i want newly issues trasury bonds. Please give any advice. Thanks.

Best Answer

You can buy them directly from the Government, look them up on the Treasury Dept. web site... most banks can do it as well as brokerage firms, but they might want some fee for the service. edit: did not see the full question... no matter the actual interest rate of the bond, new or old, all of them are priced to reflect the currently issue interest rate, as so; a $10,000 6% Tbond bond would cost you more than a $10,000 5% Tbond if the 5% rate is the current interest rate, likewise, a 4% bond would be discounted in price.

Question #5: Should The Chinese Stop Buying US Treasury Bonds To Fund Our War In Ir

I mean if we boycott there products they might as well boycott us. thats "their" products

Best Answer

chuck norris will be the judge of that
