Hi, Im currently a college student, a liberal arts major. I would like to know anyone is currently in the finance or business field or who is a graduate with a career, to tell me about the field, because im planning on changing my major into that field and I would like to know if U can start a successful career in that field. 1. Is Majoring in Finance/Business an outgoing career or is it another office job? 2. How is the salary? 3. And Is the Job Opputunities too competitive(Unemployed after graduation) or are they many oppurtunities. 4. And What Kind of different careers are their in this field?

I'm going to a community college right now but will transfer to a 4 yr college soon. I want to land a great job when I get out. I want to make 6 to 5 figures in a year and I know being in business will do it. But I want to have the right business degree so I can land that kind of job. I want to be able to know what kind of degree will do that. Business Finance or Business Management? Please help I would like to know before I transfer to a 4 yr college. Thanks and please serious answers. To TC, I know 5 comes before 6, I just set high goals for myself but thanks for the answer.

You could have the greatest degree and the best results and be unemployed. Basically, you need more than just a qualification to earn the big money, you need to learn about working in that sector, make yourself known and useful to future employers. Maybe you should consider doing unpaid work experience for companies you would ultimately like to work for (whichever degree you choose) and that way you'll have insider information on how to get the top jobs, what qualifications the high earners have and you'll already know and hopefully have impressed your future boss.

With a degree in finance, possible career opportunities include: financial planner, analyst, appraiser, bank manager, financial consultant, investment banker, insurance agent, credit counselor, etc.

I am 19 years old and it is my first year of college. I have good people skills, and like to work with people. I dont see myself at a desk job. I would want to work for someone but have freedom and the ability to accel in what ever field it is that I am in. What are some good paying careers in business, finance field..Major reccommendations....Advice in being successfull will be appriciated. Thanks

Business and Finance is all deskjobs hun unless maybe you go into trades or international business. But Business and Accounting is all desk jobs!
