What is your dream business (small or big)?

welps i am a big dreamer so i want to be like a million things...OK so i want to have like a big corporation or an inc. with like a lot of smaller business inside one?( that doesn't make sense but that the only way i know to explain it) so here are the businesses i want to own...a [x]Hotel [x]Portrait studio [x]nail salon [x]day spa [x]fashion design [x]2 hair salons (upscale and one a lot less expensive) [x]mentoring center [x] and MaYbe a hospital... well I'm 16 so I'll probably come up with lots more as the years of my life go by...

I am in ground transportation business in the US. However, this is a small company which includes myself, my wife and 2 employees. I would like to expend but in order to do so I need a sales force. I am thinking to open up a sales office in Philippines so that I would have a few people doing cold sales calling from that office in the Philippine offering our services. I am wondering if you could give me any suggestions and how to open business in Philippines, how to hire or advertize in order to hire sales people. Where can I search to see if there are similar businesses for sale? Or, could you please point me to any source web/or printed on this matter. Thank you so much.

The Philippine culture includes a tradition of graft, and it's something you should be careful of if you're not ready for it. It's very common for filipinos to assist family members and friends by using their positions of trust, and it's very common for strangers to be able to "buy" the same favors. For example, as I was passing through the airport in Manila, I went to the counter to pay my exit tax, and I had a 500 peso note stuck in my passport. The woman took the money, gave me back the passport, and sent me on my way. (The tax was less than 500 pesos, but she assumed that I was offering her a tip for fast service. Someone on the plane sitting next to me had to explain this to me. He also said that he had been arrested 4 times in Manila for doing the same thing.) If you're not going to manage your sales force in person, you can expect it to have some problems like this.

There are several places you can get your licenses, depending on the type of business and the activities of the business. First you can register your business with the NY Dept of State, and also the Brooklyn County Clerk office. You also can get licenses from the consumer affairs (nyc) for various type of business in addition to the business registration. If you are dealing with elderly, is this a day care if it is, you will need licenses from the health department and consumer affairs. What kind of business are you getting into?

There are a lot but you just need to do your homework and identify your passion. I just talk to this lawyer today and he just started to breed the fresh water fish without a pond . He just need a water tank and do it at his backyard. Since he started, he make good income just selling the fish water to the restaurant. He is thinking to quit and do full time . ...and the best thing he can spends a lot of time with his family.
