The major commercial banks in the U.S. perform currency exchange along with foreign drafts, which are bank checks in a foreign currency. They have partnerships with other banks in other countries and in order to cash the foreign draft, you need to take it to the foreign bank that they have a partnership with. You would need to ask your bank what services they provide for international banking. Some major U.S. banks I can think of: Wells Fargo, USBank, Bank of America, Wacovia. If you have one of these in your area you can talk to them about what services they provide.

Hey all, I have a few interviews coming up for some entry level internships with a few banks (both commercial and investment in divisions such as Operations and Compliance). I am a senior in college. I was wondering what is a good answer that will score points with the interviewer to the "Why do you want to be in the banking industry?" question. My answer to this question would be that I like the corporate work environment, set work schedule, offers challenging work, and that the banking industry is something I want to learn more about as a career. Is this a good enough answer and does it sound genuine? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance!
