How does it work if you want to get it delivered to your house or something?

All brokers must allow you to take delivery because that condition is in the terms of the contract. All futures "contracts" spell out these terms. Each commodity has a specified delivery point, or several, like oil delivery can be accepted in K.C., MO or Cushing,OK. You can get delivery, but it will certainly not be to your front door. I have a friend that accepted delivery on gold, and he hired a bonded (and armded) guard to accompany him from the CBOT to the bank for deposit.

would like info or reccomendations on established brokerage firms that I can invest through. I would like to start investing in futures.

one based in chicago......Try Man, or Rosenthal Collings, or World-Wide. BEWARE. This is lethal trading. Please be careful.

I looked at the forbes list today, and the ones that werent internet boom people, in some shape or form traded commodities. Looks like they are a great financial instrument to make big gains, and i guess to also lose big.

You can get rich or poor because of the margin; it leverage your investment. Example: let say the margin requirement for the December delivery of 5,000 bushels of wheat is $700. The price of the commodity is $1.00 a bushel. You bought $5,000 worth of wheat for $700. In a week, the price of wheat goes up to $1.25. You decide to sell and make $1,250 in profit (1.25-1.00 x 5,000). If you decide that you want to receive the wheat in December and make cereal, you pay $5000 minus the $700 that you already paid.

Looks like an real website to me. Commodities and Futures are a good investment option if you have a minimum of $20,000 to invest and you can lose the money without it impacting your life. You can make a great deal of money in a short period of time - doubling your money in a matter of weeks - but it is a very high risk investment and you either have to have a great commodities broker that you trust or you have to spend your whole life watching the commodities market. It's very nerve wracking.
