Many of the top universities allow you to get a combined JD/MBA. It is usually a four year program. Typically, students do their first year completely in the business school, their second year completely in the law school. In their third and fourth year, they take most of their classes in the law school and a few in the business school.

i am currently doing my undergrad in business. i first thought i wanted to be in finance, but now i realize i am more interested in law. am thinking about corporate / real estate law for law school. my gpa is fairly low. i would still like to get into a good law school. if i can change the trend of my grades (even though that won't bump my gpa up to any good range), get a good score on lsat..would that help me in getting into any good schools? what else can i do to increase my chances? plus, any info about law school and the topics of corporate law and real estate law in school and career wise will also be appreciated!! thanks!

I just did a Criminology degree but have done a U-Turn and want to convert my degree to law- the problem is I did it too late and now there is only one month left to apply for training contracts. What advice would you give on the following areas: 1. Should I be applying to a mixture of firms (in terms of sizes and reputations- bigger firms like Walker Morris and Hammonds sound too hard to get into) having little experience of commercial and corporate law? 2. What work experience can I do that would help when applying to work with commercial firms- I think it would be hard to get banks to give work experience on short notice but I will try, any other suggestions? 3. I think trying to do work experience for a business of any kind would be a good idea to show interest in business, if this is not possible is it enough to just read The Times to glean as much information as I can on law, finance and business? Any advice on what makes you stand out to bigger firms would be good
