I was wondering how can I get a free crdit report. I go online and they want to charge you. I wan a free one. I dont have any creit cards and I need to check out my credit. Can someone tell me a web site that give free credit reports. Also how can I fix my credit? I have stuff on there thats been paid, how can I get those off and the ones when people or companies check your credit. In my old one I dont know have them companies that checked my credit. Please let me know

This is FREE, you do not need to enter credit card information etc. annualcreditreport.com is where you you can obtain your government mandated free credit report (one from each of the 3 agencies per year), you have the option to get your credit report via snail mail or electronically via this method. you will have to disclose your social security number, date of birth and other info to verify your identity If you are worried about the security of you info on line, don't be the site is secure encrypting your information before sending it over the web so it can not be read by others. More information on how they guard and secure your information is located on their website any other website or offer of an free credit report more often than not has strings attached such as purchasing credit monitoring etc.. and are not truly free. also in your report that you will recive they will tell you how to dispute any incorrect information that may be in your report -good luck CS

i had my 3 credit cards for less then 6 months i dont charge over 40% of my credit limit and pay off my bills 100% on time would anything be one my credit report right now? (also someone told me that even if you charge $1 on capitalone it shows up bad on your credit report i dont think thats true but is it?)

I agree with the others, your new accounts should be reporting. And since you have been keeping your cards in good shape, they should be reporting positively. As for Cap One, they do not report the credit limit. They only report the high balance. So if you have a $3000 credit limit with them but you only charge $200 on it, it will "look" like your credit limit is $200 and that you have utilized the full amount of your credit limit. Regardless of what some people say, in my opinion Cap One is not a good builder/rebuilder card - at this time. I have heard that Cap One may(?) be reporting credit limits starting this fall. (they had many complaints filed against them for not reporting the limits) Which would then make them a pretty good card.

I am looking for a free credit report online. Every site that I have been on cost money. Are there any free sites for credit reports that I can get on where if it says free it will not cost me? Where would a person go to get a copy of their credit report if they do not have a computer?

The best way to get your free annual credit report is to go through the site sponsored by the government (http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/ freereports.shtm) There are a lot of impostor sites out there, so it is best to go through the links on the government's website to make sure you aren't fooled. You are allowed to check it once a year. I personally check mine every year at Thanksgiving. If you don't have a computer at home, use a computer at your local public library. It is free with a library card!

Does anyone know of a site where I can get my credit report or credit score for free without having to have a credit card? Free credit report.com wants a credit card number and I don't have one.

You can get all three for free at www.annualcreditreport.com if you want your score, you must pay for it.
