Annual Credit Report Transunion

This is inregard to going to the Internet using the web site www.annual credit report.com .to get one's free credit report from the three main credit report companies " Experian " . " Equifax" , and " Transunion " (sp).. Although by a new law , one can get a free credit report " one time " , is there a " gimmick " whereby you are inviting all kinds of spam people to bombard you with sales deals , or worse , requiring you to make purchases ? Appreciate feedback !

Go strait to the credit unions websites. You can get one credit report free each year. If you get it thru annual credit reports.com you join a credit service. Go straight to the source. I do it every year at the same time. Go to each website Equifax- Transunion- Experian

got a copy of my free credit report, the only problem is how do i find out what my credit score is? for instance my sisters is 720. i know i can buy one of them from experian, transunion, etc. for like....5.95. but.....since i get to view it once a yr for free, cant i know what my score is too?

Federal law requires that the three major credit reporters provide free credit reports... but the law does not require that they also give a credit score.

On Experion my credit score did not change for the month it stayed 609, my Equifax changed from 609 to 627 and my transunion went from 607 to 597. WHy they change? I had some stuff on my credit that was not mine and I got it taken off and all three credit bureaus. Also if I wanted to dispute some information and I have freecreditreport which is only for experion, how do I dispute information with equifax and transunion without having to pay for another credit report that I can see. I have already used up my annual credit report.

If you are concerned that they all don't have the same score, then don't be. I have seen many reports on people and between the 3 companies it was rare to see them all agree. From the scores you posted on here it looks normal to me as far as the difference. Thats why you will hear a lender tell you your mid score they average them

I can get mine but my husbands free annual report(just Transunion) and one he tried to buy from Transunion said they couldnt verify so he called and kept answering questions and apparently they have some address he has never resided at cause he rattled off all the ones he has lived at. It is being a pain in our butts we just wanted to keep track of our credit score!

I share your pain! I had to photocopy my drivers liscence and social security number and then pay to fax it to them so that I could get mine!
