What is the website address where I can obtain my annual free credit report mandated by law?

i know you are allowed to get a free credit report from annualcreditreport.com and that you are allowed one free report from each of the three credit agencies a year. however, does when they say "each year" does that go by: one sometime between 2006-2007 or would the year go by like say you got one in september 2006, would you not be able to get another until september 2007? i'm only wondering because i looked back in around november 2006 last year and i went to go look at it today and it told me that i already looked at it for free online this year, and i haven't tried to access in 2007 until today...does that mean i have to wait until november?

It's a year from the last time you pulled your report.

When I am transferred to the Trans Union web site from annualcredit report.com, all I can see are offers for credit reporting products and the option to order them. There are no pointers to the free yearly credit report. How do I get the free report from this web site?

Went through the same nonsense, and used the telephone..No problem at all. Very quick and easy, and you will get a letter in the mail in a few days. Don't have the number handy but there are three reporting companies. Too much info is worse than none at all. Best wishes

As I understand it, you get one free credit report a year from each of the three agencies. You can also get a free report if you've been turned down for credit in the past 60 days. Are these separate? Say I get a free credit report from Equifax in January and in February I get turned down for a loan and the lender says they used Equifax. Can I still get a free credit report? Or would I need to pay for this one? The lender specifically mentions which credit agency they used and say I can contact them for a free report which is why I ask.

The annual report if from the credit agency. The post-turn-down report is from the lender who turned you down. They are separate, and it never hurts to get a free look at your report. Also, the report a lender sees is somewhat different from the one you can get yourself for free.

I know you can get a free credit report a year from annualcreditreport.com .. the last one I got was in Nov. 07 .. I know I can't get a updated "free" one til next Nov. but is there any way of accessing the one that I accessed in Nov. 07? Thanks in advance! Well I'm just trying to clean up my credit credit report .. have not and will not apply for any cc/loans soon :)

There's usually a time limit on how long you can access the free report. I can't remember what it is. I usually save mine to my computer and print it. If you only got one free report, you can still get a free one from the other two credit bureaus. You're allowed one each 12 month from all 3 - Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
