applying for SBA Business loan.. credit score is less than 600 don't own real estate, but I have a foreclosure on my credit report, have 1 year business experiance. can i still qulifiy for SBA Loan??

Ok so I had some late payments on my credit report, I got them removed because it was not my fault. My credit score was lowered because of this, but now it's removed. Will my credit score increase instantly? or will it take some time to catch up? Question is from my sister , thank you.

If these late payments were not your fault, there is a way to get your score back to where it was without having to wait too long. I use a company called Certified Credit Reporting for my clients. You will need to get a letter from the creditor stating the late payments were an error on their end and that they have updated their records to reflect this. This letter is then sent to CCR and for a fee of $30 per bureau per trade line, they will update your report in 3-5 business days. example: Capitol One reported you late to all three bureaus. You pay, $30 for Transunion + $30 for Experian + $30 for Equifax for a total of $90 for that one account. Hope this helps!

Do balance transfers negatively affect your credit score/report? I usually transfer balances to my 0% APR balance transfer card with no fees and then pay them off. I never have a late payment, etc, but was wondering if transferring balances directly affects your credit report or score. Thanks! P.S. It is transferring to the same credit card each time, since the offer has no fees. It is good until April 2007. So I am not opening a new card each time I transfer, and the transfer is going onto the card when it is a $0 balance. Also, my credit cards are not high or maxed-out by any means. It just gives me a few more months each time to pay off $500.00 or so. Thanks!

If you are opening new accounts each time you transfer balances to a 0% card it will affect your credit report and score! It's best to have only a few major credit cards open and keep them for a long time, than have a long list of recently opened accounts. Lenders are more likely to view you as a responsible borrower if you have older accounts. Call your card companies and ask for lower rates on all your cards-they often do it, especially if you threaten to close out and move elsewhere.

I checked my credit score/report with Trans Union earlier this year. I think there may have been negative information placed on my credit report since and would like to check it again. Could I use any of the other companies (example: Experian) and still check or do I have to wait a year? If I was to use another company and run the check, would I negatively affect my credit score? Further, is it a year from when you checked? or the calendar year? Thank you.

The other companies may not have the same information listed (they do not share information). You can send a letter requesting verification of the negative listing. Send it registered mail. They will then have 30 days to verify the debt. They will also send you a new copy of your credit report. You can request a credit report from all 3 agencies once a year, or if a dispute is being registered. The year is figured from the date of your request for a copy. Under a new law, you're allowed to receive a free copy of your credit report once a year. You can go to this website http://www.annualcreditreport.com to get one. 3. When you rent a house, depending on the landlord, your monthly rent payment would not be reported to the credit bureaus. But there is a website that specializes in reporting rent payments along with other monthly payments like utlities, cellular, day care, etc. as a way to build credit to provide an opportunity to get a mortgage and other credit products later on down the line.
