Free 3 Bureau Credit Report With Score

I am always having a hard time with Freecreditreport.com and others that give me either a FICO score and no report, or I get ONLY 1 report and then 2 months of $9.95 fees! Please help..I JUST want my report and FICO score from Equifax/Experian and TRW. Thanks in advance!

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/ index.jsp Site set up by the big three credit reporting agencies in the United States, to furnish free annual credit reports, as required by federal law. You get your report for free once per year from all three major agencies. You have to pay for your FICO though. That's not free.

I think I've heard that credit inquires(for seeking loans,etc.) of the 3 credit bureaus results in lowering the score and is cumulative. The more inquires such as home buying, auto purchase, major appliance or personal loans the lower the score goes each time. If this is true, does it also apply to personal requests for the free annual credit report?

It will not be an inquiry if you request the report from the proper site. Inquiries do lower the score, but usually only if the inquiries are all packed together (showing that you are desperate for money). An occasional inquiry won't significantly lower your credit score.

I've already gotten my free credit reports from annualcreditreport.com but now I'm looking to monitor my credit score periodically from all three bureaus. I know that FICO is probably the biggest credit score service is their number that much different than what I'd get from the credit score source that Equifax, Experian and TransUnion use? I just don't want to pay so much more for nothing. If FICO says my Experian credit score is 700 and I go to Experian.com and their service says my score is 692, I don't see the difference. Thanks.

davidb196 is correct. I look at credit every day and sometimes see point spreads of 100-points between the three bureaus. This is because all lenders do not report to all three and some do not report at all. There is no reason to check all three credit bureau scores and FICO. It's a waste of your money.

We are going into default on our mortgage for shortsale/foreclosure situation that is on my husband's name only although my name is on the deed. I want us to get free credit report so we have a good credit report before it gets hit this year. I know we can get 1 free credit report from 3 bureaus. Should we get all 3 free ones now or should we stagger it so we can see how much our credit score drops after the shortsale/foreclosure hit?? If only getting one report for now, which bureau should we get it from first? (I'm asking which bureau is most accurate)? Thanks.

No, don't click there! This is the only place to get your real free credit report: https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/ index.jsp You should get all 3 of them at once the first time so you can compare what they have and if clean up is needed you can do them all at the same time.

I've tried asking this before, but I still get the "free credit report.com" answer. What does someone do to get their credit report (score) if they had no computer access? Is the world at the mercy of the 3 credit bureaus? What can I do? I don't want to believe that this is the only way. What do people in other countries do?

call 1-877-322-8228, or complete the Annual Credit Report Request Form (link below) and mail it to: Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281 So yes, you can, but it just takes a week or so. I've never done it so I actually don't know how long it takes.

I'm looking to get my credit -score-, not credit report (I already know the 3 bureaus have to give you a report once a year), but I don't want to sign up for one of those 30-day free trials that are all over the internet and have telemarketers calling me and hassling me when I try to cancel. Anyone have suggestions how to get the number itself without paying or signing up for anything?

Ask your credit card companies! I was on the phone with my credit card company, Washington Mutual, one day. I asked if I could get my credit score. I meant if they could tell me what it was. Turns out, they offer it to their customers for free on their website. Point, click and your score pops up. One agency per month. Are people not reading your question????? Dude wants a SCORE not a report!

TruCcredit used let you update every day for free until December 17th, 2008, when they started implementing a policy where you can only update every 30 days for all 3 bureaus. Do you know any other website (Other than TrueCredit) out there that can truely let you update your credit report for free every day for all 3 bureaus and as soon as you register at that site, it lets you start updating your credit report daily and still have a 7 day free trial or they have no trial before you pay and also shows the most accurate FICO scores for all 3 bureaus that is close to what the lender shows when they pull up your credit report. I am currently using CreditCheck and every time I have to update my credit report, it makes me pay $39.95 per report and I just registered at that site for a 7-day free trial. It claims that it lets you update your credit score free every day without paying money. I need true ones here, not rip-off services, and don't say annualcreditreport.com, because they only let you update once per year and for what I am doing, it needs to be checked every day. Call CreditCheckTotal to cancel. Once they cancel, sign up again immediately. That should allow you to pull right away, without waiting the 7 days. CreditSecure requires an American Express card issued by Centurion Bank, exactly like CCT, except CS is $11.99 a month vs. the $9.99 to $29.99 of CCT. To get the $9.99, you have to call to cancel, and sometimes the Customer Service Representative will offer you $9.99 a month to stay. This has been coming for a long, long time. I first read about it almost 10-months ago. It was supposed to have been in place by the end of last year but did not make it. As far as what I think about it, what choice do we have except to sit back and see how it works. One of the largest problems we have in the world of finance is that there is so much of a difference in the three scores. At least this will eliminate this problem.
