Free Experian Credit Report

I did my tri-monthly fraud alert with Experian, and it gave me the option of getting a free credit report with that (which I did). It gave me some 10 digit number to go back and view it at anytime (which I saved). But I don't know exactly where to go to put this number in and retrieve the report. Can someone give me the link? It's 100% free, no credit card or registration required. Under federal law, you're allowed 1 free report per bureau, once every 12 months.

I have been offered a free credit report but am asked my credit card details before I can access my report for 30 days free trail. I can't do this as I have been refused credit cards and am confused as to why. I have always and still pay all my bills yet Iam still refused a credit cards or loans?

I am exactly the same! i dont have any credit cards, store cards or anything! and i cant even get a 39.99% apr credit card. You can try Vanquis.co.uk who do high interest credit cards ( i didnt get one) then if you use it for say your pet food, then pay it off in FULL each month then that will get your credit up good. But when i got the letter from Vanquis to say i hadnt got one, the told me to go to www.checkmyfile.com and check my credit report. I filled all the forms in online and paid the fee ( £8.95 but i need to know why i am not getting credit) only to find out that i can not be identified. I did email them and they were very helpful, they did say that the credit reference agenies couldnt verify me at my previous addresses. I therefore have to send in original letters and bank statements with address of my previous places so they can verify i lived there. I am in process of doing that now but they did say that if i cant be verified after that then they will refund me my money - so its worth a try. Then at least if you get your report done then you can see why. it may not be your fault. me and my brother have same initals, so it could be something from him when we both lived at my mums.. you never know until you get the report.

or asking for credit card numbers. How do I do this without having to join trial memberships? I just want my credit report that I know I'm entitled to for free annually + I want to be sure it's one of these companies providing it- no scams! Also, where do I report a credit card on my report that is claiming to be open status, when I know it's not- (I don't even have a card from this company?) Thank you!

Go to this site: https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/ index.jsp It's the free one. You write to the credit agency directly to dispute something on their credit report. Their websites are: http://www.transunion.com/ http://www.equifax.com/home/ http://www.experian.com/ For the credit card showing up. I would call the credit card company to make sure they don't have an account in your name. It could be a mistaken identity, or it could be that someone opened a card in your name and social security number (i.e. identity fraud). I hope that helps.

This is inregard to going to the Internet using the web site www.annual credit report.com .to get one's free credit report from the three main credit report companies " Experian " . " Equifax" , and " Transunion " (sp).. Although by a new law , one can get a free credit report " one time " , is there a " gimmick " whereby you are inviting all kinds of spam people to bombard you with sales deals , or worse , requiring you to make purchases ? Go strait to the credit unions websites. You can get one credit report free each year. If you get it thru annual credit reports.com you join a credit service. Go straight to the source. I do it every year at the same time. Go to each website Equifax- Transunion- Experian

I am looking for Experian credit report. Many of the websites, have you sign up for a free trial, and give credit card #'s... I don't trust that...
