The government does not have a site for credit reports, but they did enact a law stating that each individual should have reasonable access to his or her credit report. Each of the big 3 Credit Agencies are listed here. TransUnion, Equifax and Experian are required to give you a copy of your credit report annualy. I suggest you use one service every 4 months to keep track of how your credit report is being updated.

TO request your reports go to www.annualcreditreport.com or call (877)322-8228 toll free, or write Annual Credit Report Request Services, P.O. Box 105281 Atlanta, GA 30348-5281, you can get 1 free copy from the three major credit reporting agency.

Actually, see the links below. I wouldn't trust any other site unless you went directly to Experian, Transunion or Equifax (these are the major credit bureaus). The second answer above is only partially right. You are entitled to a free credit report annually according to the FACT Act (see FTC link below).
