I want to buy a newer car next year, but my credit is not the best. I''m currently rebuilding my credit, and my credit score should be between 620-650 when it's time for me to buy a car. I'm current on the auto loan i have now and i have been on time for a year. However i was late numerous times before then, due to a job loss. I also have a credit card through the same company thats financing my car and i have never been late with the credit card payments. Matter of fact i have a balance of zero on my credit card. I'm also a member of a credit union, i get my work checks directly deposited into my credit union account. My car will be paid off in 8/2008, but i plan on paying it off earlier when i get my income tax check in 01/2008. I like the current auto finance company i'm with now, because they gave me a fair rate, eventhough my credit was'nt the best. Should i try to get my next auto loan threw them, or should i try to get it threw my credit union?

I am looking for an address to send a "goodwill" letter for Navy Federal Credit Union? I am in the Navy and I had some problems last year because both of my parents died. I spoke to navy federal about my problem, I had to pay for two funerals and I wouldn't be able to make a payment on either of my loans for 3-4 months. They said it shouldn't be a problem, that they would put a hold on my payments and then start paying again later. Well, they didn't do this, and it registered on my credit report that i was late on all of those payments. I called them and they said the best they could do would be to change them to 30 lates on each entry. This is still negatively affecting my once perfect credit score. I am comming from a 645 to a 538. Does anyone know an address I can send a "goodwill" letter to and if anyone know the name of a customer care manager that I can put it as attention to that would be great. They do not list employee info on the site, I would like to know a manager's name.

I've heard that credit unions are more people orinted then the bigger banks. Reason I'm asking is I've been denied a student loan from the government and loans from my bank. My ex boyfriend put me into big credit card debt. I've paid it all off but with the way I did it, it stays on my credit profile for another 3 years. I've been trying to save and I have a small limit on a credit card so it proves my trying to rebuild my credit. I really want to go to school. Do you think I'll be wasting my time and theirs if I go to a credit union?

Definately go with the credit unions! I quit using banks a long time ago because I was tired of their fees. Everything I did cost me something. When they decided to start charging me for statements I left them. Many of the people I counsel also have had much more success in getting loans from credit unions. But student loans??? I can't say. They were much easier with secured loans.

Send it to your Chief, great advice! Also see if you can make an appointment to base legal for consumer related issues. I assume you didn't write to them before, but used the phone to make your inquiries with them? Keep detailed notes on everyone you spoke to, dates, times. You can also write to the credit bureus and they can attach any disputes and records regarding your late payments, however this won't reinstate your score. Consider switching to USAA if you qualify,, NFCU is horrible, in my opinion! Sorry don't have addresses or actual managers names, but I'd review your statements and loan docs for grievance addresses.

I got a prepaid western union credit card and i'm a little confused as to how to load money onto it. Can you go to any company that deals with western union or are there only certain places you can go to load money onto them?

Go to the western union website and it will tell you the nearest authorized locations to load your card. Prepaid cards are great, they keep you out of credit card debt.
