Has anyone had cosmetic surgery and financed it thru the care credit program? If so, how has your experience with care credit been?

Used care credit. I have to say, even thouh I was approved, they gave met this deal that if I paid it by one year, it would be interest free. Well, I forgot and I made monthly payments and they slammed me with a huge interest fee that they didnt charge me for the 1st year. I was not happy. So, I got another loan and paid it off care credit.

I've heard about care credit and that it will allow to make payments to pay off your dental bills but will they still allow you to use care credit if you are using a dental discount card too. Also does care credit charge an annual fee for using their services like some credit cards?

Care credit works exactly like a credit card. They often let you finance medical procedures at 0% financing for up to a year or more. So the answer to your question is, yes you can use it to pay whatever your dental insurance does not pay and you can use it in conjunction with your discounts and insurance card. They do not charge an annual fee.

I signed up for care credit, and got approved. I signed papers with my dentist, and we are suppose to get the work started now. Well, in going there 2 times, I am finding that I am seriously uncomfortable going to that dentist, and would like to go somewhere else. Am I able to go somewhere else with my care credit, eventhough I signed papers for this specific dentist???

Your other answer is correct. I also have Care Credit and had cleaning and bone grafts done which used my card then am having a crown done by another dentist with my card. Its a line of credit to use for any type medical service...lasik surgery on eyes, face lifts depending on your line of credit, dental, etc. Good thing about CareCredit its like an insurance card but you don't pay on it unless you use it.

My ex husband claimed my daughter on his taxes this year and got the child tax credit back, but can i atleast claim the child care credit since i paid for daycare all year?

You should have the details worked out in your divorce agreement on who can claim the credit. It depends on who had the child the most during the year, and if he has used it, you cannot. Check out www.irs.gov for details.

Care Credit is how about 50% of my patients pay for their dental work. I have spoken to the Care Credit representative for our area before, and according to him, they use the 3 top credit scoring companies: TransUnion, Equafax, and Experian (Hope I spelled those right.) It isn't always those with bad credit who get refused. People with too much credit can also get denied, as they are considered a credit risk. Most of my patients already know up front when they are going to be denied. If they have really bad credit or a bankruptsy, then they don't bother applying. I have , however, had people who never thought they would be approved, get approved. In my office, we offer 12 months interest free on the Care Credit, and after that it is about 11.9% APR.
