I had a car repoed by ford motor credit back in 95 it was included in a bankruptcy that i had in 2002, in 2003 i paid the balance off to get a leain off of my moms house. the amount was paid in full, but in dec 2004 a collection agentcy had my bank account frozen. can i sue them for doing this? can i also hold ford motor credit responsable?

Yes, they did. Moody's Investors Service lowered Ford Motor Co.'s credit rating further into junk status Wednesday, predicting the company will remain under considerable financial stress through 2007 even with a pending restructuring. Moody's downgraded Ford to Ba3 from Ba1. Moody's also lowered the long-term rating of Ford's credit arm, Ford Motor Credit Co., from its lowest investment-grade rating of Baa3 to Ba2. The moves will make it more difficult for Ford and Ford Credit to borrow money.

What is the address to mail a car payment to FORD MOTOR CREDIT>..it is a PO BOX in nevada...henderson nv I think.. I do not have my stub and i need to mail it off asap.. please help

I REALLY wouldn't recommend you do this... God knows who's address you'll receive, but it probably won't be one for Ford Credit. If all else fails, call the dealership, and ask him, but I really wouldn't recommend trusting an anonymous helplist for the proper address.

I was stupid and co-signed a car loan w/someone that I now no longer have any contact with. Is there a way to have my name removed from this loan?

The only way is for the other buyer to refinance the loan in their name only. You might try contacting Ford Motor Credit at 800-727-7000. Hope you learned a lesson. Never, never, never co-sign unless you are ready willing and able to make the payments yourself.

I'm looking at getting out of my traditionaly financed car and getting into a lease. I have alot of negative equity (about 8-10k) and they are doing huge rebates on the focus's right now and they suggested I go with one of those. My credit score is in about 606 according to the 3 burearu credit scores and i've never ever missed a payment. I have stable income and have been at my job for almost 2 years. My husband has our car thru ford credit (my name is not on the loan) would it be possible you think for me to get approved? I was approved last month when we bought our second car thru another company (traditional financing)

Based on the information that you have supplied, i don't think that "credit approval" will be a problem. However getting an approval for the amount of 'negative equity' that you mention WILL be a problem. Even taking the huge rebate into consideration, FMCC is not going to let you roll $5500-$8500 into a new lease on a Focus. FMCC & the dealer will definitely "work with you" on that but (I would bet my right arm that) they will require a big chunk of money out of your pocket. I am sorry ;'-( to be the bearer of bad news, but I have had a lot of experiance in this area & I'm just telling you the truth.
