I don't know about right at this moment... but two companies that make Ethanol-85 have filed for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and their revenues look pretty good. One is VeraSun Energy Corporation and the other is Aventine Renewable Energy Holdings, Inc. At www.ve85.com there are some neat videos about Ethanol 85 as well.

Hi people, I got interested in companies producing alternative energy sources or equipment for that industry and I have two questions: 1. what do you think about buying stocks of such firms? 2. could you name some companies in this sector? This is a lot of risk in that field of technology. Wind and solar are years away from being economically feasible. The recovery cost on current solar and wind electric systems goes beyond the life of the equipment. There are two areas, in my opinion, worth looking into: bio-diesel and coal. A company call Nova Biofuel is going into production of bio-diesel. It's currently a penny stock, selling at about $1.30, but is worth looking at. Another company, Fuel Tech, has a new fuel injection system that helps coal fired furnaces reduce emissions and slag build up. It has just gotten a contract to install its system in several coal fired electric plants in China. With China bringing on one new coal fired electric plant on line per week, this could be a boon for the company. It's current selling at about $26.

Hi all, got interested in stock of companies dealing with alternative energy sources. Such would be: wind, water, solar, ethanol, fuel cells etc. I think the USA is starting to understand that oil will not last forever and that by using it we actually harm our world. I believe that this leads to a rethinking process that will rather soon start pushing the idea of alternative energy sources. Will stocks of such companies suffer every time prices of crude oil falls? Or is the idea of owning such stocks might get more stable? Thanks Micron

This is a very difficult question to answer. I do have one thought. There is no way ethonol is economical, at least as manufactured in the U S. It requires more energy to make the stuff than than it provides. It is a Bush scheme to make the public believe we are doing something. Of course the government provides a subsidy at taxpayers expense. Good for the farmers however. Might buy fertilizer stocks or Deer. I did buy stock in a wind turbine company. Hopefully it was a good idea. Only time will tell. VWSYF

If you want to use alternative fuel than fossil fuel you must pay special attention it's impact to environment.Tha't stock in the stock market that sell alternative energy company list.

I am really interested in investing in Green technology, specifically solar, wind, or hydrogen energy. If you could just give a few names of stocks/companies that would succeed i would greatly appreciate it thanks.
